This pressure gauge is designed for applications requiring stable and reliable pressure measurement, even in environments subject to vibration or shock, such as those found onboard ships or industrial equipment. The use of glycerin protects the internal mechanism and ensures accurate readings.

Detailed Technical Specifications:

  • Pressure Range: The instrument is graduated to measure pressures from 0 to 10 bar. This measurement range is suitable for monitoring hydraulic systems, medium-pressure freshwater systems, or cooling circuits.
  • Dial Diameter: The case has a diameter of 63 mm (Ø 63 mm). This standard gauge size offers excellent readability from a reasonable distance, which is an advantage over smaller models.
  • Connection Type: The connection is axial (or rear connection). The connection is located in the center of the rear of the housing, allowing for simple and direct mounting in panels or on pressure taps where the gauge must point forward.
  • Damping (Glycerin): This is a key feature: the pressure gauge is filled with glycerin. This liquid dampens vibrations and pressure pulsations in the fluid, thus preventing rapid wear of the mechanism and needle movement that makes reading difficult.
  • Materials and Threads: The housing is often made of stainless steel (Inox) for increased corrosion resistance (especially in marine environments). The threaded connection is usually 1/4" (BSP Male).
  • Accuracy: This type of glycerin pressure gauge is often classified as a Class 1.6 instrument, offering good accuracy for process control applications.

Advantages of Glycerin:

Reading Stability: Eliminates jolts and vibrations, ensuring easier and more stable pressure readings.

Longevity: Lubricates internal moving parts, extending the life of the mechanism (Bourdon tube) and protecting it from corrosion and impact damage.
