The MVI80 Stator (Probable Part Number: RMVI8001) is a large replacement part for the Gianneschi MVI80 positive displacement helical screw pump. These pumps are higher-power units within the MVI range, specifically designed for handling wastewater and highly charged or viscous fluids at high flow rates, typically found on yachts and megayachts.
Design: The stator is the fixed elastomer chamber surrounding the rotor (worm gear). The rotation of the rotor creates positive fluid displacement.
Material: It is made of rubber (NBR/Buna elastomer). The quality of the material is essential for its seal function, enabling the pump's self-priming capability and tolerance to suspended solids.
Importance: As a major wear part, the MVI80 stator is subject to abrasion. Its regular replacement is necessary to ensure that the high flow rate and discharge pressure are maintained, thus ensuring the proper functioning of the water drainage system.
