The MV44 Stator is an essential spare part, designed by Gianneschi, for the repair and maintenance of MV44 series positive displacement pumps (such as the ECO44 and MV44G models), which are frequently used for transferring wastewater or graywater on board ships.
Function: The stator is the fixed element inside the pump body. The helical rotor (worm screw) rotates inside the stator to create volume and move the fluid.
Material: It is made of high-quality rubber (often NBR/Buna) to create a perfect seal with the rotor, allowing the pump to be self-priming and to handle even viscous fluids or those laden with small solids.
"Slotted" Detail: The term "slotted" refers to a specific feature of the stator, often called a floating stator. This slot or groove allows the stator to fit loosely around the rotor, ensuring a consistent seal and optimal performance while absorbing vibrations.
Replacement: As a wear part, the stator is included in maintenance kits and must be replaced periodically to maintain pump flow and pressure.
