Purpose: It dynamically seals the pump shaft to prevent the pumped liquid from escaping and damaging the motor or bearings.

Materials: Typically high-quality with Ceramic/Graphite Stainless Steel (or SiC) friction faces and durable elastomers for compatibility with seawater and diesel fuel.
